Our Story
Valeris Advisory was established to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery in healthcare. Born from extensive senior leadership experience across both the NHS and the private sector, the firm was created in response to a simple challenge: too many good ideas fail to translate into sustainable, real-world improvement.
We work with healthcare organisations facing complex operational, commercial and system-wide pressures, supporting leaders to improve performance, design better services and deliver value that stands up to scrutiny. Our approach is pragmatic, collaborative and grounded in first-hand experience of running services, managing risk and delivering change in demanding environments.

Sam is a Founding Partner of Valeris Advisory and a senior healthcare executive with more than a decade of leadership experience across the NHS and independent healthcare sector. A former NHS General Manager, Sam has led complex acute services, elective recovery programmes, commercial growth strategies and large-scale healthcare delivery partnerships. His experience spans operational transformation, service design, insourcing and outsourcing, market development, pricing, mobilisation and sustainable business growth. Sam combines first-hand operational knowledge with strong commercial judgement. He works with healthcare providers, founders, investors and senior leadership teams to turn strategic ambitions into practical delivery models that improve patient access, strengthen performance and create long-term value. His approach is direct, collaborative and focused on achieving measurable results.

Alex is a Founding Partner of Valeris Advisory, bringing more than 15 years of leadership experience across the NHS and independent healthcare sector. Alex began her career in the NHS and progressed into senior hospital management roles, with particular expertise in unscheduled care, operational performance and complex service delivery. This experience gives her a first-hand understanding of the pressures facing healthcare leaders, from maintaining safe patient flow and workforce resilience to improving access, performance and quality. At Valeris Advisory, Alex supports healthcare organisations with operational improvement, service design, partnership development and the mobilisation of sustainable delivery models. She is particularly skilled at understanding local priorities, building trusted relationships and turning organisational challenges into practical solutions that can be implemented successfully. Alex’s approach is collaborative, credible and grounded in the realities of healthcare delivery. She works alongside boards, senior leaders and operational teams to strengthen services, develop effective partnerships and achieve meaningful outcomes for organisations and the communities they serve.
