Valeris Advisory was established to bridge the gap between strategy and delivery in healthcare. Born from extensive senior leadership experience across both the NHS and the private sector, the firm was created in response to a simple challenge: too many good ideas fail to translate into sustainable, real-world improvement.
We work with healthcare organisations facing complex operational, commercial and system-wide pressures, supporting leaders to improve performance, design better services and deliver value that stands up to scrutiny. Sam Hunt is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Valeris Advisory, bringing over a decade of senior leadership experience across the NHS and private healthcare sector. He is a commercially focused healthcare leader with a proven track record of delivering operational transformation, revenue growth and sustainable system improvement. Sam has held senior operational leadership roles within large acute NHS Trusts, managing multimillion-pound portfolios and complex clinical services, before transitioning into board-facing commercial roles within the independent sector. This dual perspective gives him a deep, practical understanding of NHS pathways, governance, procurement and performance frameworks, alongside the commercial acumen required to design, price and deliver solutions that genuinely work for both public and private organisations. At Valeris Advisory, Sam leads the firm’s strategic direction, advising NHS organisations and private healthcare providers on service improvement, elective recovery, commercial strategy, system integration and value-for-money programmes. He is recognised for his consultative approach, credible stakeholder engagement and ability to bridge operational reality with commercial ambition, ensuring clients achieve measurable, sustainable outcomes in an increasingly challenging healthcare landscape.
